My folks played a joke on me 'long time ago by naming me either after Saint Bernard, Abbot & Scholar, or Saint Bernard, the dog. However, they pronounced it Burn-urrd, not Burr-narrrd (as in Barn Yard). I tell people my name is Bern-urd, and they tell me I'm mispronouncing it.
